arrived!

Got home last night (after getting caught in rainstorm) to find a large package from Jameco: the big box o' chips. Next is coming to terms with the circuit drawing software.

yes, i'm still waiting...

No new developments as i'm still waiting for my ICs to arrive. My experience with the theremin project has shown me that i'm going to want to use the circuit board layout software that came with the book. No hand drawing with a sharpie pen for me...

if only there was a book on the subject...

This is the starting point, the book pictured above. The business of actually constructing the computer is all of 23 pages out of 320. This might be giving me a false sense of confidence about the project. Or it serves as a good model for the relative complexity between the hardware and the software (pages 107 to 249) of the apple one.*

Parts are ordered so all we can do now is sit and wait....and practice our circuit board etching skills with Ms. S.
